Grenada Information:
Grenada, officially the “Republic of Grenada” is an independent Rhode Island Nation located in the South Eastern Caribbean Sea. The territory of the country consists of the Island of Grenada and six other small Islands. The nearby countries of Grenada include Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago; and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The country due to its location in open sea has been exposed to a number of hurricanes. The country is nicknamed as the “Spice Isle” due to its long-term history of the production of spices and a number of other corps. Also, the country is famous for its sunny beaches, bars, resorts and tourist recreational centers.
Before the arrival of the Europeans in the region, the island was inhabited by the local tribes some of which include the “Arawaks” and the “Island Caribs”. Although these people came from the South and Central American regions, the exact history of their arrival and origin is not well known.
Christopher Columbus discovered the Island chain on its third journey towards the New World (Americas) and reserved it for the Spanish Crown but no permanent settlement came to from the Spanish side.
The island was first inhabited by the French forces in 1649. The local population gave tough resistance to the occupiers but due to superior weapons, the locals were defeated and the Island became French territory. The remaining local population left the island.
French introduced sugarcane and indigo plantation to keep the economy running. Later in 1972, the island was captured by the British forces after the “Seven Years War”.
The country got its full independence from the British in 1967. Post-independence period was marked by Military coups and the hold of the Communist government. The democratic government was overthrown by the communist government and the leader was executed. This resulted in the invasion by the United States which occupied Grenada and restored the democratic government.
Grenada is a beautiful country that features beautiful beaches, waterfalls, small mountains, and rivers. The islands were created due to the underwater volcano that occurred about 2 million years ago. The country has a tropical and hot climate with a cool breeze coming from the sea.
The country has also a devastating history of hurricanes. Luckily the country wasn’t hit by any volcano for 49 years, but again on 7 September 2004, Grenada was struck by Hurricane Ivan which destroyed 90% of the country’s homes. Again, on 14 July 2005, the country was struck by Hurricane Emily that caused damage worth of millions.
The country’s infrastructure and economy were tremendously affected due to hurricanes and there is still a huge burden if foreign debt on the country. The most dominating economic sectors are services, agriculture, and industrial sector.
The services sector is the largest economic sector of Grenada as a large number of tourists visit the country annually. This also brings a large amount of foreign currency in Grenada. The main points of interests of tourists are historical buildings, beaches, waterfalls, and bars.
Agriculture is also a vital resource for income as a number of corps are grown all in different parts of the country including nutmeg and mace. Nutmeg was introduced by the British in the colonial periods and today Grenada is one of the largest producers of Nutmeg in the world only behind Indonesia. Other agricultural products include cocoa, cinnamon, bananas, and clover. The industrial sector is bounded towards small-scale production e.g. manufacturing, beverages production, food packing, etc.
Around 82% of the total population that inhabit modern Grenada are the descendants of the African slaves that were brought to the islands by the British for sugarcane, indigo and nutmeg plantations. Sadly, the local population (indigenous tribes e.g. Arawak, Island Caribs) are present in only small amounts.
Christianity is the predominating religion of the country followed by minority religions including Muslims, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists. English is the official language of the country but it is not the most commonly spoken language. The most widely spoken languages are the “Grenadian Creole English” and the “Grenadian Creole French”.

Keep up the good work Sureshji and wish you success and happiness!" - Megha - Virginia - USA
I have consulted Suresh Garu during December 2014 during the process of buying a house in Texas, USA. I have occupied the house for one year now, and feel like dropping a review regarding my experience during the entire process. I am very much satisfied with the kind of service I received from him. He is very knowledgeable and I was often stunned by his detailed analysis during the course of my interaction with him. He was very much accessible over phone (perhaps more than 10 times for one house plan!) and the price is very much reasonable especially compared with the cost of the house. I noticed his burning desire to help me in making informed decisions on certain things. I have seen some people pretending to know this subject and misguiding those who come for help by saying only what we want to hear. SubhaVaastu is definitely not that one. Finally, I am strong believer of leaving certain things to experts in those subjects. I have been in US for more than 13 years and have seen people doing their own corrections (by reading website articles) trying to save few dollars. Please don’t do that. You would end up in causing more damage. I highly recommend you to engage SubhaVaastu in your next project - Satish - Dallas - TX - USA

Rajesh: Chintu, what would you do if you accidentally stepped on an elderly man's foot?
Chintu: I’d apologize, Dad.
Rajesh: That’s wonderful, son. You’ve made me proud. Now, what if he appreciates your politeness and offers you a chocolate?
