It is believed that by worshipping Mata Lakshmi on this most auspicious day would bring all kinds of prosperities to our family.

Long ago, there lived a chaste and a pious woman called Charumathi in the present day Maharashtra. Due to her good nature, and by her sincere devotion, Mata Lakshmi appeared in her dream and asked her to perform puja to her.

Charumathi performed the Varalakshmi puja, along with her family members in a noble manner by offering fruits, flowers and sweets to the divine goddess.

Due to that, Mata Lakshmi blessed her and granted SALVATION to her and to her entire family after their death. It is believed that by worshipping Mata Lakshmi during the Varalakshmi Vrata day, we would get the blessings of the Ashta Lakshmis.
