Vastu Shastra Tips for Doors | Placement | Darwaja ( Dvar / Dwarbhandham | Dwar | Mootha | Thalupulu | Sliding Doors | Swinging: As long as the East, North, West and South Doors are perpendicular setting to each other (according to the compass needle which is 90 degrees) it is good.
South, North, West Direction and East direction gates and doors of the building are perpendicular according to the compass needle then it is good.
Some people say that the West facing and South facing houses are inauspicious, this statement may not be the right. All the four directional facing plots or sites are good. But we have to build the House according to Vaastu shastra. Keeping doors in right place will always bring luck to the residents.
All plots or sites may not be according to 90 degrees, some may have 15 degrees and some may have 345 degrees or -15 degrees etc. After crossing this number one should be careful in placing the door. Up to 17 degrees either + or -, we may not observe radical changes in Vastu Results. Once the plot or site may have 20 or 25 then we may observe some changes in results. If the site may have 20 degrees then Northeast doors may have the prominent role in bringing good results than the directional doors i.e., East, West, North, South etc.
Some plots are non directional or Skewed one, like +45 or -45 etc. At this moment the road may be called as Northeast road, Southeast road, Northwest road, Southwest road etc. Then the house may called as Northeast facing house, Southeast Facing Home, Northwest Facing Home, and Southwest facing home etc. Keeping the main door or taking the decision in keeping the main entrance door is always playing a vital role here. In skewed properties measurements of the plot is exercising the influence of entire control of the site. At this moment residents should not take any decision without Vastu Consultant. Otherwise, they may be suffering from different problems.
As the requirement of man is heavier/broader in these days now there are swinging and sliding doors were occupied in much percentage of the houses or properties now. Due to lesser space many residents like only swinging and sliding doors for inside, outside the main door may be made with wooden or iron grill etc. Please note that there is no count for doors in the house. No need to count doors. In Pracheena Vastu Shastra there is a rule that doors should be in even number only not in odd number. Now we built the homes with cement and steel, so no need to count the doors.
At North facing house the main entrance door (simhadwara at vuchasthana / Good place) should be placed at Northeast corner, this is the best suitable place, the second and last place is North direction, if so one has to made this door very near to at least Northeast, but our recommendation is to get some suggestions from one experienced Vastu Specialist.
If the house is exactly 90 degrees then you may plan for East door, but best to move towards Northeast of East as much as possible.
Exactly Northeast door adjacent to North wall is not suggested you should have some patch like at least 9 inches, otherwise it may look like East wall breaking etc. For more information you may check this same "Wall Pad" in this link Vastu for Doors.
In East facing house the door (Simhadwara in Uttachastana) should be placed at Northeast corner, this is the best suitable place, East entrance door is the best, but better to have suggestions from experienced vastu consultant when you decided to plan the door towards East direction, please note that the door should not cross even one millimeter towards Southeast direction. Generally, residents may not calculate or exact figure out the same, at this moment the Vastu Pandit can easily mark the place where you have to place the door.
In South facing home the door (Simhadwara or Uttachstana) may be placed at Southern Southeast corner, maybe this is the suitable place, but South door is also recommended, get necessary recommendations or suggestions from one experienced Vastu Expert in this regard.
While coming to West facing house the door (Simhadwara or Uttachstana) should be placed at Western Northwest corner, this is suitable place and West door is also recommended, here don't forget to get suggestions from one experienced Vaastu consultant, this is safe idea. This idea brings peace in residents future.
The entrance for a South West room should always be placed in the North-East, either it may be towards Northern Northeast or Eastern Northeast.
Southwest room should not have three doors to go inside of the home and outside of the home. It may damage your life standardness. But this 3 doors word is not related to the toilet or bathroom.
The doors should be in the Northeast. When someone enters through the door, the waves emerging from the doors affect his mind with the magnetic waves always flow around us. If possible some painting or window should be opposite to each door for air flow.
The size and shape of the door is, here Vaastu pandits advises that width of the door should be half of the height of the door, its good for the house. The main entrance door may be as much as possible height is better. Some houses may have up to 8 feet. Generally, masons prefer to place up to 7 feet doors. We seen 10 feet doors.
The main entrance door to the house should be made from good quality wood. It's width should be bigger than other doors of the house. It should have a design and should be painted properly or make polish with one expert labour. It should look as a grand and great looking when compared with the other doors. The main door is the index of the quality of the good vibrations of the house. This main entrance door is the first visible to everybody. So residents should be careful in selecting the wood. Generally people interested to go for Teak wood for the main entrance doors.
A vastu home has to be aligned with the cardinal directions thereby reflecting the Vedic concept of the universe. While entering into the house don’t place disturbing works of art such as those depicting war and misery as they may bring about negative energy and negative thoughts to the residents and visitors to your dream house.

If the main entrance door of the house is fixed/stitched in a right place according to Vastu principles then the position of the residents will become richer day by day. Doors play an important and significant role in vastu shastra, please be reminded the same before placing the door, don't forget this point while fixing the door at house and factory or in any other residential or commercial constructions.
Mosquito Net Door Is Also Count As A Door In Home Vastu
There are contradictory declarations on this Doors counting. Some vastu specialists said that we should count doors in the house per vastu and some other experts opinioned that no need to count doors in vastu. While it is so, how can we count the mosquito door as a door? Is this really a door or obstructing mosquitos not to enter into the home. It is clear that, no need to count this mosquito door to be count as an additional door in the home. This mosquito door protects residents of the home from mosquitoes.

I have consulted Suresh Garu during December 2014 during the process of buying a house in Texas, USA. I have occupied the house for one year now, and feel like dropping a review regarding my experience during the entire process. I am very much satisfied with the kind of service I received from him. He is very knowledgeable and I was often stunned by his detailed analysis during the course of my interaction with him. He was very much accessible over phone (perhaps more than 10 times for one house plan!) and the price is very much reasonable especially compared with the cost of the house. I noticed his burning desire to help me in making informed decisions on certain things. I have seen some people pretending to know this subject and misguiding those who come for help by saying only what we want to hear. SubhaVaastu is definitely not that one. Finally, I am strong believer of leaving certain things to experts in those subjects. I have been in US for more than 13 years and have seen people doing their own corrections (by reading website articles) trying to save few dollars. Please don’t do that. You would end up in causing more damage. I highly recommend you to engage SubhaVaastu in your next project - Satish - Dallas - TX - USA
